Gift of Knowledge is raising funds for Yemen Emergency Food packs This Ramadan 2020 in collaboration with Forgotten Women.
The worst place right now on the face of this earth is Yemen.
The UN has declared Yemen to be the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. With the country suffering mass starvation, more than 80 percent of the population lacks food, drinking water and access to health care services. Yemen is very likely to be hit by the COVID-19 pandemic which will wreak havoc on the people as they are already weakened by starvation and dehydration.
Many Yemenis are struggling just to survive, women are foregoing meals and are starving in-order to give what little they have to their children.
On the authority of Jubair ibn Mut’im ‘We were with the Messenger of Allah on a road between Makkah and Madinah and he said, “The people of Yemen are on the verge of ascending upon you as if they are clouds. They are the best (people) on Earth.” (Ahmad)
What we are doing: Vital Food Packs
All our aid is delivered to women by women
We are in Yemen delivering vital survival aid to the most vulnerable starving women of Yemen, our emergency aid delivery is in line with our ‘safe aid’ policy which is basic terms means aid for women by women, we only allow women on the front line to deliver aid in a safe and sound manner so women cannot be exploited.
Just £50 can save the lives of an entire family by providing essential food (one month’s supply)
