Palestine International Medical Aid (PIMA) is a registered charity that was setup in response to the urgent medical needs of the Palestinian people particularly in Gaza and the refugee camps outside of Palestine.
Pima Palestine runs a healthcare program for the orphans in Gaza and the refugee camps in Lebanon at a cost of £120,000/year. More than 5000 orohans have benifited from these programs in the past two year.
Pima Palestine also sends urgent medical supplies and equipment to treat victims with devasrtaing injuries inflected while participating the peaceful Right of Return Marches in Gaza.
Health issues are “fundamental to the attainment of peace and security and is dependent upon the fullest co-operation of individuals and States. The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition.” (WHO constitution)
