Our Story

We have decided to take part in this years amazing Dragon Boat Race, organised by Al-Noor Foundation.

It will be a great day out but also a brilliant way to get really active and raise money at the same time.

Muslim Aid will be helping raise funds for one of our main projects 'Need is Greatest.

Their situation is critical

Millions of people are at risk of starvation and are vulnerable to disease. With the tensions continuing in parts of the globe, the number of internationally displaced people is set to rise.

Together let’s make a difference

For over 30 years, we have been delivering aid around the world on your behalf, to people who really need it.

Our established aid chain and years of experience will ensure your donation goes towards:

Helping widows and children living in extreme poverty Providing water and sanitation to those experiencing drought and famine Delivering emergency medical aid to those injured in conflict Saving lives with operations and neo-natal care Providing shelter to displaced people, alone and vulnerable, having fled for their lives.

You can make a difference to their lives.

Your support to our Need is Greatest appeal means you can ensure that no-one is forgotten. We work hard in remote areas, with communities affected by famine and directly within war zones and refugee camps to reach those in the greatest of need.

Just £100 from you can make a huge difference in ensuring we can continue to be there as soon as disaster strikes, rescuing and relieving with emergency aid. It can also help towards rebuilding lives and communities which have been shattered, by supporting our sustainable development projects aimed at freeing those caught in the grip of poverty.

Why the Boat Race?

Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause. Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province.

Plus it's going to be a whole lot of fun!!!

If you can donate, we would appreciate it, but also please come along to support us on the day.

Much love
