Personal Challenge - Appealing for a charity
A few months ago, I turned my profile picture blue for Sudan. That's it. I didn't educate myself, I didn't tell others where they could learn about the situation. I just did it because everyone else did, and I'm ashamed.
Using social media to raise awareness is important, but now we have the opportunity to take the next step together. This project aims to sponsor 40 children in Sudan over 5 years providing food, basic nutrition, clothing, school uniforms, schoolbooks, enrolment, counselling and support.
My challenge: for every £10 donated, I will spend an extra hour in the university library - continuously. So if we manage to raise £300 I will stay there for 30 hours , if £500 then 50 hours etc!
The time has now been confirmed as 54 hours which I will begin on the morning of Monday 3rd February and complete in the afternoon of Wednesday 5th February inshallah!
I'll also be recording the evidence on the @uclarabnasoc page :)
For people that know UCL, I'll be in B1 and B2 but everywhere else in NSC is off limits (vitamin D tablets at the ready).
Jazakallahu khayr :)
